About a month ago I joined the Institute of Business Leaders and what a wonderful month it has been. My feeling on joining is one of having purchased a lotto ticket in the luckiest draw yet! I feel its all a win win for everyone concerned.

Having attended an IBL function I had the pleasure of meeting Danyelle Mailer from the National College of Business. Danyelle and I exchanged business details and later that week I received a very happy letter with chocolate from Danyelle saying how much she enjoyed our meeting and wanted to get to know more about what The Gift Wizard does.

I was so impressed by Danyelles interest in The Gift Wizard I sent her a small gift to say thank you and also to give her an example of what I do.

A very excited Danyelle phoned to say thank you for the gift and explained that the feeling she got when it arrived along with the element of surprise was exactly what she wanted to impart on her gift recipients. We then discussed putting together some package ideas for her to see later that week.

Danyelle also followed up with an invite to a Time Management Breakfast at the National College of Business the following week.

The moment I got there, I realised that NCB was no ordinary business. It screamed we are organised, we love what we do and you are special and you are just so welcome. A wonderful first impression and they are the ones that count.

The Time Management Talk was brilliant and I came away with some wonderful advice to put into practice from that moment on. I also had the privilege of watching the NCB Team in action from the welcoming of guests, to the perfectly colour co-ordinated flower table arrangements and tablecloths to the efficiency of the NCB staff members. They all had everything down to a fine art.

If my first month is anything to go by, The Gift Wizard will have nothing but the sky to reach for, not just for its business growth but also for the wonderful opportunity of meeting motivated, like minded and progressive people and their businesses.

We write to congratulate you on the superb efforts of your team and the value Big Picture Management continues to receive as a result of our IBL membership. After an association with IBL through a past client of BPM, we decided to join as members. Since joining in January 2004 we have been nothing short of impressed with both the service standards and the commercial benefits to be gleaned as a result of our membership.

We operate two e-portals bringing together other specialized businesses as Alliance Partners to jointly service the needs of our client bases. We are pleased to advise that almost half of our Alliance Partners have been sourced from amongst the IBL membership.

I would not hesitate to recommend an IBL membership to any business serious about making an impact on the market or to anyone seeking reputable partners with which to do business locally.

Furthermore I can't speak highly enough of our Relationship Manager. It is as a direct result of their efforts, keen insight and commercial acumen, that we have been able to pull together our programmes with a minimum amount of fuss and time consumption. She has taken the time to understand both our commercial needs and our business ideology to ensure that her recommendations are a good fit with what we are trying to achieve at any particular point in time.

In closing Im sure BPM is like most of your member base - idea rich and time poor, with multiple excuses as to why we cant attend events. Wed like to thank the IBL team for hassling us to attend the lunches and other events as every time we do attend, we inevitably reap the benefits.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for an extremely well organised, 5 star business leaders forum.

There were many differences that I found from your company in comparison to others that are out there. There are too many differences to mention but to summarize I feel that you guys have hit the nail on the head in the sense that business leaders and like minded people are able to share information about their business with others that are there for the same reasons they are, to exchange ideas and utilise each others services for the benefit of their own company.

I like to think of IBL's concept as the Microsoft of business leaders forums, in the sense that Microsoft set the standards in the Computer Software world so high that many of their competitors are struggling to keep up because when they set the standard they continued to grow and improve on what they have already improved. I believe that IBL has done and used a similar philosophy but in the Business Leaders World. In no time at all will we see your competitors struggle to keep up while the IBL Membership list continues to grow at an exponential rate.

It was an eventful evening with great wine and company, not to mention that leaving the venue knowing that I have a Porsche to drive around for a day did increase the smile on my face.
