Gold Coast Bulletin
The Gold Coast's Own Newspaper
Established in 1885, The Gold Coast Bulletin is the only daily newspaper specifically serving this booming region.
Our
commitment to the Coast is appreciated by residents and is reflected by
our dominance in the market. The Bulletin outsells ALL other daily
newspapers by around four to one and is by far the most read daily
newspaper on the Coast.*
We
have experienced 13%# circulation growth over the last five years.
These gains have been won through continuous promotion and a constantly
improving product.
Unrivalled Reach
In
addition to outselling all other daily newspapers on the Coast, The
Bulletin offers advertisers reach into the market that is unrivalled by
any other media. Here are some points to consider when advertising on
the Gold Coast:
The
Gold Coast receives a total of 22 radio signals including, three major
commercial radio stations, four commercial community stations plus all
the Brisbane
commercial stations. This is great for listeners but not so great for
advertisers as having all these stations means the audience is very
fragmented and much harder to reach. The Weekend Bulletin reaches more
people in one day than advertising over an entire week on any Gold
Coast radio station.*
TV
advertising on the Gold Coast is also highly fragmented because unlike
most other markets the Gold Coast has a total of eight channels, six of
them commercial. Unfortunately regional TV is not measured for the Gold
Coast market, however in the absence of hard research, local agencies
estimate the entire coverage of the three local TV channels combined is
less than 12%. We also have one of the highest cable viewing per capita
of any city in Australia.
There are two PAY-TV channels offering over 70 program choices between
them which further reduces your ability to penetrate the market through
television advertising.
In
a highly fragmented media market, The Gold Coast Bulletin is an
essential component of any advertising schedule aiming to effectively
penetrate the lucrative Gold Coast market.
Circulation Area
The Bulletin's Primary Circulation Area is from Sanctuary Cove in South East Queensland to Kingscliff in Northern New South Wales. Our Primary Marketing Area extends further afield from Beenleigh to Ballina.
Interest in The Gold Coast Bulletin extends beyond our PCA, with an average of 4,000 weekend and 2,000 weekday copies sold in Brisbane every week. The Gold Coast Bulletin is also available from selected newsagents in Darwin, Cairns, Sunshine Coast, Newcastle, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Hobart, Burnie, Launceston and New Zealand.
